“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”
Through this post I want to share one of the two really eye opening stories which I heard on the radio show that I frequently listen to.
It is an incidence of a smart little girl , five or six years in age . Once, her teacher asks her a mathematical question. The teacher asks that if he gave her three apples and then two more apples , then how many apples she will have . The girl fluently replied six . For the girl was really smart , so the puzzled teacher altered the question asking her if he gave her three strawberries ( her favourite fruit) and then two more strawberries then how many strawberries she would have in all. This time the girl replied five . The surprised teacher inquired , why she gave the wrong answer when asked about apples and correct when strawberries were mentioned . The girl innocently replied that she gave correct answers for she already had an apple in her bag .
This is where perspective comes . What we all deem to be wrong might actually not be wrong if we are in someone else’s shoes . If all of us before judging someone for their decisions , for once try looking at the situation from their point of view , the world will seem not as wrong and people not as despicable as we make them to be .
Great content..😊
